Frequently asked questions:
Do I need to know coding to use the WebLink Lock Generator?
No. The WebLink Lock Generator creates your WebLink Lock that contains the code. Works with the usual Drag and Click website builders. Also works on Google Sites.
Is there any annual or monthly subscription fees?
No. Just a one time payment, and that's it.
What kind of password can I make?
Your password can contain large or small cap letters, numbers and symbols. There is no limit on the length of your password.
Do I need to do something special to the webpage on my website that I want to have only accessed with password using a WebLink Lock?
You will need to hide or block the web page from navigation in your website builder. For example, in Google Sites you would click the "Pages" section then go to the page you want hidden from view and click on the three dots on the right of the page name, then click hide from navigation.
What do I place in the "Protected URL" area?
You will enter the full URL address you want password protected. For example you enter https://www.mywebsite.com/extra-stuff. The website being called "My Website" but the page being password protected with the WebLink Lock would be the page called "Extra Stuff". The "Extra Stuff" web page is what you would hide from navigation in your website builder.
Is the WebLink Lock a special high security encrypted tool?
No. And that is not the intended use. It's just a basic way to have a website page and it's content hidden from view in your website from regular user traffic unless you have a correct password to access the webpage.
What should I be putting in my premium content webpage that I only want accessed with a password?
Perhaps various ebooks or an entire library, playable or downloadable games, special files, building plans, drawings, pictures, videos, an instructional video library, educational courses, a special members only area etc.
Can I use more than 1 WebLink Lock per website?
You can use as many WebLink Locks per website as you want. Each WebLink Lock has one password for one website page. So you can have pretty much all your webpages password enabled if you want.
Do I need to keep track of all my WebLink Locks?
That would probably be a good idea. You should write down or create a spreadsheet for all the passwords you created and the website page addresses that corresponds with each password and where each WebLink Lock is located in what particular website.
